2022 Celilo Chardonnay

Chardonnay has long been the most consumed white wine varietal in the United States- and for good reason. With classic flavors of citrus, green apple, and brioche, our Celilo Chardonnay is well balanced with a medium body and moderate acidity. By spending time in new French oak, neutral French oak, and concrete egg you'll find this wine to be approachable and enjoyed by all. Suggested pairings include a winter butter lettuce salad with Anjou pears and crumbled blue cheese, fresh coastal crab cakes with a classic grilled corn on the cob, or a simple cheese and charcuterie board (heavy on the mild and creamy cheeses!). Enjoy now or cellar for 5+ years.

2020 Les Collines Syrah

Vintage Notes

The 2020 vintage created beautiful wines. They are aromatic and dense but with levity, super dark and outstanding acid! Bud break began in mid-April, well-aligned with long-term averages but later than a number of recent vintages. Bloom began in late May, consistent with recent years. Veraison began in late July and harvest in the third week of August, slightly ahead of where it looked to be at the beginning of the season. September temperatures spiked into the 90s, which accelerated picking. A well-forecasted frost event for October 23rd led us to pick in advance, bringing the growing season to a close. We overall are very happy with the results of this vintage!

2021 Les Collines Syrah

Vintage Notes

2021 was a warm growing season for Washington State marked by a record shattering heat in late June which led to historically low yields at harvest. Bud break began at the very beginning of April, ahead of historical averages. At the end of June, a heat dome descended upon the west coast. It shattered all previous temperature records. The vineyards fared well, but led to significant reduction in berry and cluster size. Veraison began in mid-July, temps cooled down in September and October, allowing for extended hang time. While overall crops were much smaller, we were very pleased with the quality. Brix were a little elevated, however, acid held on very well considering the overall warmth of the growing season. What is all means is, 2021 are delicious balanced wines!
