Rosebud Vineyards was founded by Don and Norma Toci in the 1970s out of a love for each other and a love of the land. Dreaming of becoming ranchers and searching the western states for a new, unspoiled vista to raise a family on, they were sent to Washington State by an old friend and wine enthusiast to explore the possibilities of the Columbia Basin. They recognized the potential of Wahluke Slope, one of the driest, warmest sites in the state, and planted their first vines in the fall of 1978.Fast forward 40 years, and Rosebud Ranches has evolved to 400 acres and 21 different varieties. Today, third generation owners Chip and Katie Dobson leverage their experience, location and an innovative approach to produce high quality wine grapes that ultimately create extraordinary Washington wine.
